Troubleshooting SlimStat Pro License Activation

Applies to SlimStat 6.0.0 and SlimStat Pro 3.0.0 · checked

If Pro does not activate, first confirm SlimStat Free 6+ and SlimStat Pro 3 are both installed and active. Then open SlimStat → Settings → License, enter your key and save. Check the status displayed beside the key.

Check the key and the site

Sign in to your account and check your license, subscription and site allocation. Copy the key without extra spaces. A moved site, a staging domain or an exhausted site allowance can require updating the allocation. Contact support if you cannot change it in your account.

What you seeWhat to check
No License tabBoth plugins are active; Free is at least 6.0.0; your account can access SlimStat settings
Inactive or invalid keyKey, license status and licensed domain in your account
Activation works on one site onlyYour plan’s site allowance and each site’s allocation
Connection error or timeoutOutbound HTTPS, DNS and certificate validation on your host
No Pro update offeredActive license, a newer available version, and the WordPress update check. A Pro release that needs a newer Free than the one installed is held back until you update Free

Check the server connection

Pro 3 uses the license and update API at https://my.wp-slimstat.com. Ask your host to check outbound HTTPS to this hostname. Do not disable TLS certificate verification. A browser reaching the website does not prove your WordPress server can reach it.

WordPress Tools → Site Health can help identify HTTP and configuration problems. Both plugins require PHP 7.4+ and WordPress 5.6+. Use the official ZIP from your account; renamed or incomplete plugin folders can interfere with updates.

Update without deleting your analytics

Back up first, then upload the current Pro ZIP through Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and follow WordPress’s replacement flow. Keep Free active. Avoid deleting Free as a license troubleshooting step: uninstall behavior depends on your data-deletion setting.

Send a useful support request

Include Free and Pro versions, WordPress and PHP versions, the exact error text, and whether the site recently changed domain. Use private support for account issues. Do not post license keys, database passwords or visitor data in public tickets.
